Are we all perhaps linked by invisible bonds? Do the actions of one affect others, even if those others are far away? Our lives and the universe itself may be all part of a single mechanism in which all creatures and events are 'entangled' with one another.

What Color Are You ?

Your result for The Color Code Test...

Color Code: WHITE: The Peace Keeper

11% Red, 34% Blue, 51% White and 3% Yellow!

Here is the basics: For a more in depth analysis, I suggest you look up the Color Code, and take a more intensive test.

WHITE MOTIVE: PEACE

WHITE NEEDS: To feel good (inside), To be allowed their own space, To be respected, Tolerance.

WHITE WANTS: To withhold insecurities, Kindness, Independence, Contentment.

SUMMARY: Whites are motivated by peace. They will do almost anythign to avoid confrontation. They like to flow through life without hassle or discomfort. Feeling good is even more important to them then being good. Whites need kindness. They resent being scolded. They dislike harsh words. They open up instantly to people who are kind, but Whites recoil from those who are hostile. Whites prefer quiet strength. they enjoy thier quiet independence. This can often be percieved as bullheadedness. Whites like to keep a low profile. They like to be asked their opinions but they won't volunteer them. Whites are independent. Unlike Reds and Blues who want to control others, Whites seek only to avoid being controlled. They don't like to be pushed, and they can be fearsome when they finally "blow up." Whites are motivated by other peoples desires. They want suggestions however, not demands.

Send Karl Rove To Jail !

If an ordinary citizen were to ignore a court subpoena an arrest warrant would be issued and the local Sheriff's department or police would locate that person, place him under arrest, and take him to court in handcuffs.

So why is Karl Rove any different? If Karl Rove refuses to respond to a Congressional subpoena, Congress should cite him for contempt, issue an arrest warrant, and send the Federal Marshals to bring him in.

And maybe the Marshals could round up a few of the other criminals in the Bush administration while they're at it.

Let your voice be heard! Go to http://sendkarlrovetojail.com/, sign the petition to let the House Judiciary Committee know you want justice to be done.

Bored Rainy Day Quiz Taking Time

Your result for The What Kind of Friend Are You Test...

Practically Vulcan

You scored high on Logic! 82%

Practically Vulcan friends tend to leave emotions out of their decisions. You are calculating and analytical in your problem-solving abilities and can sometimes come across as cold.

This guy is thinking "Now where did I leave my pants?"

Your result for The Who Would You Be in 1400 AD Test...

The Monk

You live a peaceful, quiet life. Very little danger comes your way and you live a long time. You are wise and modest, but also stagnant. You have little comfort, little food and have taken a vow of silence. But who needs chatter when just sitting in the cloister of your abbey with The Good Book makes you perfectly content.

Take The Who Would You Be in 1400 AD Test at HelloQuizzy

HA ! I knew before I even took this quiz what the answer would be.

And finally, just one more:

Your result for The Your SESAME STREET Persona Test...

Guy Smiley

You scored 65% Organization, 55% abstract, and 25% extroverted!

This test measured 3 variables.

First, this test measured how organized you are. Some muppets like Cookie Monster make big messes, while others like Bert are quite anal about things being clean.

Second, this test measured if you prefer a concrete or an abstract viewpoint. For the purposes of this test, concrete people are considered to gravitate more to mathematical and logical approaches, whereas abstract people are more the dreamers and artistic type.

Third, this test measured if you are more of an introvert or an extrovert. By definition, an introvert concentrates more on herself and an extrovert focuses more on others. In this test an introvert was somebody that either tends to spend more time alone or thinks more about herself.

You are mostly organized, both concrete and abstract, and more introverted.

Here is why are you Guy Smiley.

You are both mostly organized. You have a good idea where you put things and you probably keep your place reasonably clean. You aren't totally obsessed with neatness though. Guy Smiley is your average Joe. He'll dress up and look nice for his game show, but he's not a neat freak.

You are both a concrete and abstract thinker. Guy Smiley uses his imagination to come up with ridiculous game shows. However he's concrete enough to stick by his rules and perform his role as host. You know when to be logical at times, but you also aren't afraid to explore your dreams and desires... within limits of course.

You are both introverted. At first glance Guy Smiley may appear to be an extrovert given he hosts a popular show. But in reality he struggles to relate with other people. His prizes tend to just be Guy Smiley merchandise. For whatever reason you are a bit uncomfortable in social settings. You may have one or two people that you are close with. You'd rather do things by yourself and you dislike working in groups where things are always so inefficient.

I'd never heard of this Sesame Street character, but he does sound like me !
(even looks a bit like me...haha)

So according to these tests, I would be a Vulcan monk who hosts a game show. Where do I sign up?

My New Photo Blog !

That's right ! I've started a new, second blog. But why, you may ask?
Especially since I don't even keep this poor, neglected blog up-to-date like I should.

Well, the new blog is going to be just for photos and videos I take as I wander aimlessly around town, wasting time or sometimes attending some local event. Or if I happen to take a relatively rare trip out-of-town for the day. Don't expect too much--I'm not the greatest photographer--but I sometimes catch an interesting shot or two. I have a bunch of photos I've taken and since my free (and I'm too cheap to pay for a premium one) Flickr account has reached its limit (200 pics), I started a new blog to hold some of them.
Anyway, please check it out; its called QE II ( click here). Can you guess why?
If you want the answer, click the link above and read the blog title.

I have been doing a little clean-up on this blog as well today, trying to unclutter the sidebar and hope to get back to a regular posting schedule. Since I now have a new computer, I have no excuse for not doing so--the old machine I'd been using really did make it difficult to do much.
The pic above is just one example of my amazing photographic skills (hahaha).

When Animals Attack !

According to this survey on surviving animal attacks, I could kick the crap out of those vicious house cats or raccoons ! And could probably hold my own against most dogs.

Brought To You By Adult Toy Parties

But it would seem that I have to stay away from animals that live in water (sharks, alligators) or jungles/forests (lions, bears, gorillas, etc.) or cities (Humans).

Christmas In June !

It's coming, it's coming! Yay! Checked a few minutes ago, and saw that it's on the truck to be delivered today.

What am I so excited about? My new computer I ordered last week! Finally I can give this old machine a little vacation and give myself a little less frustration. This old computer I rescued from the curb a couple years ago (where it was waiting to be picked up by the trash collectors) has served me well, but it just is showing its age. Pretty slow, prone to odd little glitches, and with a small hard drive. Sorta like me, in a way.

I had a nice laptop that died an early death when the internal fan quit and the motherboard got fried. So since last August I have been struggling along with "old faithful" here. Haven't been able to do many things I enjoyed doing on the internet--even watching videos is annoying as the video lags behind the audio, 'cause this computer has a slow (by today's standards) CPU.
I've been running Ubuntu Linux; Windows XP ran way too slow and froze up. The new machine has Windows Vista, but being the geek that I am, I plan to put Ubuntu on it, too, and have a dual-boot system. I've come to really like Linux since I've been using it, and the Ubuntu distribution is much easier to use than some older versions of Linux. And it looks much like Windows, so it's not hard to get accustomed to.

Features of my new computer:
# Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed w/COA
# AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 2.3 GHz processor
# 2 GB system memory
# 320 GB SATA hard drive
# DVD±RW Drive

The AMD Athlon 64 X2 is a dual-core processor.
I also added an NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS 256MB DDR2 video card.

My old computer:
# Ubuntu Linux 6.10 LTS (Dapper Drake)
# Pentium 900Mhz CPU
# 512 MB system memory (I added 256MB to the original 256MB)
# 40 GB IDE hard drive
# DVD-ROM/CD-RW Drive

Plus I have a 250GB external hard drive, an external LG DVD±RW Super-Multi Drive, a 17-inch widescreen LCD monitor, a scanner, & a cheap LexMark printer. Haven't even used the scanner since I bought it because I couldn't figure out how to get it running under Linux (trouble finding the right driver).
I'm not trying to brag here--just the geek in me, excited to have a new toy to play with. I'll keep the old machine, just as backup, at least for awhile. I'm working on another old computer to give to a friend who has never owned one so he can become more "computer literate".

So all-in-all, once everything is installed and set up, I should have a great system and can spend even more time surfing the web and "geeking out", instead of having to go out into the icky {ewww} "real world".

State Quiz Test

Your result for The State Locator Challenge Test...

Geography Whiz

You scored 83% Accuracy!

With 18 correct answers, you beat nearly everyone else. Sure a couple of people got them all right by cheating, but your score is geniune. Not only do you know your states, but you know how to play with integrity.

Perhaps you got Colorado and Wyoming confused. Maybe it was New Hampshire and Vermont. We might never know.

This state naming skill of yours will get your far. There are myriads of times where it is important to know the shape of the states. Ok, I lied, it doesn't really matter. But it does show that you know your stuff.

Libera

Just got home from attending a concert of the boys' choir "Libera" from England. They have the most incredible voices and the songs have an atmospheric, hauntingly beautiful sound. This is Libera's first tour in the United States, so I was lucky they came to my area.
If you haven't heard them, check out the videos below or visit their website here.

This video is a sample from their "Angel Voices / Libera In Concert" DVD. (I bought the DVD at the concert tonight)

Below is their brief tour schedule in the U.S. If you live in Pittsburgh or NYC, you may still have a chance to catch their concert.
Libera Tour the USA!

Apr. 4 - Asbury Hall - Buffalo, NY
Apr. 6 - The Bushnell - Hartford, CT
Apr. 7 - The Egg - Albany, NY
Apr. 9 - Byham Theater - Pittsburgh, PA
Apr. 17 - Riverside Church - NYC

That's a photo of the place in which I saw the Libera concert. Can you guess which of the 5 sites listed it is?
If you guessed "The Egg", you're correct! Not too hard, as the building is shaped like an egg. It contains 2 theaters inside, but no right angles--even the elevators are round!
