Flip is a great mini video camcorder. I always carry mine with me! High quality video in a small device.
Unfortunately, Cisco - who recently purchased Flip from Pure Digital - has decided to abandon the business, and no longer makes their cameras. In a little over two years, Cisco will no longer support the product. The reason - "insurmountable" competition from the "smart phone" industry. ......Hell, I should be their marketing genius.
So my question is : Why did Cisco buy Flip from Pure Digital? .......tax write off?? .......bad marketing skills?? .......no advertising budget?? .......better things to do than sell stuff to the "small people"??
What a waste of good money. Thank God we can still upload vids to You Tube via the computer's "documents" files, and "Flipshare" automatically transfers their files to the computer's own doc files. The Flip advantage....... no monthly wireless fees that exceeds one's mortgage payment.
